File and geometry review

Vector paths, raster regions, line weights, nesting, small features, and part clearances are reviewed against the intended material and assembly. The output is a concise risk list: geometry that may char, detach, distort, or require a different sequence. This is not a promise of compatibility; it is a preflight that tells the operator what must be proven on a coupon.

Material test planning

A representative test matrix is framed around composition, thickness, surface coating, moisture, supplier lot, and the visible result that matters. Unknown plastics are excluded until their composition is documented. When settings are discussed, they remain starting points; focus state, optical cleanliness, airflow, and batch variation can change the result.

Ventilation and filter walkthrough

The review maps the exhaust hose, filter stage, room make-up air, discharge location, and local constraints. It does not replace a workplace exposure assessment or local authority guidance. The purpose is to prevent a visually successful cut from masking an unsuitable fume-control arrangement, especially for coated, adhesive-backed, or smoke-heavy stock.

Trial record and handoff

The accepted test is documented with file revision, material identity, machine state, observable edge or mark quality, and any post-processing. A production operator can then reproduce the same preparation rather than inheriting an undocumented setting. If the material lot or geometry changes, the record flags a new validation point instead of treating the earlier result as universal.
